In 1999, Mark and Miranda Paup set out on a new journey and founded City Rule. In 2007, our name was changed to Golden Rule. Our name was chosen based on something we value above all else: treating others how we want to be treated. When City Rule first started out, we were located about half an hour away from Grimes with only 4 service trucks and were primarily focused on new construction. The company continued to grow as we added more incredible employees, more trucks, and tons of amazing customers. We then took over a local heating and cooling company in 2005 and basically doubled the company's size overnight. After several relocations and shifting our focus to plumbing, heating, cooling, and geothermal services, we are in our newest home, just a few feet from our last building. Here at Golden Rule, our team is like our family. And, as a family-run business, the importance of family has always been at the forefront of our company.
